BACK TO SCHOOL!!
THIS
SATURDAY!!! - JANUARY 23rd
It is time
to head Back to School at Taylor High
School!
Taylor High School has a rich history from
being the site of a pre-historic Native
American village, to a peach orchard, to the
home town of William Henry Harrison, to the
school it is today. Taylor was built in
1926, and has not seen a professional paint
job in over 15 years. The Yellow Jackets
have been burdened by low levy (financial)
renewals, a tight budget, and limited
maintenance personnel that have prevented
them from doing necessary up keep.
We have the
opportunity to give approximately 700
Cincinnati High School students not only a
fresh coat of paint, but an example of how a
little effort can have a dramatic impact.
We have a
great event lined up with painting the
foyer, hallways, and common areas. Please
remember to wear clothing and shoes that are
comfortable for you to paint in, and get
paint on. We’ll have a scrumptious bagel
breakfast and pizza lunch; however, if you
do have special dietary restrictions, we ask
that you bring your own food. Also, in our
continued efforts to reduce our waste,
please bring your GBC water bottles to be
filled up at the event.
Finally, our after
party will be at Another Bar in Cleves.
Another Bar is kindly opening its doors
exclusively for GBC and offering drink
specials like $2
Christian Moerlein Drafts. There will be
light snacks provided as well. The after
party is always a great way to celebrate the
successes of the day, mingle, and meet new
people.
Registration
is filling up quickly!!!

Another way to
help out as well.... You can help by
participating in the
Box Tops for Education and Labels for
Education programs. Our
efforts will start on Saturday, by
collecting the UPCs from participating Soup
Label products such as Campbell's, Prego,
Swanson, Pepperidge Farms and the caps from
V-8 bottles. We will additionally be
collecting Box Tops for Education, easily
obtained by clipping the Box Tops logo from
participating products such as General Mills
Cereals, Betty Crocker Desserts, Avery
Office supplies and household goods such as
Hefty, Ziploc, Scott and Cottenelle. Start
clipping for this cause, so that after the
brushes are clean and the paint cans have
been put away, Taylor High School will still
see Give Back Cincinnati's continuing
support.
