Background:
I was raised in Arcanum, Ohio, a little town of less than 2,000 people. I came to Cincinnati for an engineering degree at UC and stayed to work at Procter & Gamble. I received my second degree from UC (an MBA), and through many travels, many years, and several jobs, I have managed to remain a resident of our fair city.
Job Duties:
Even fifteen years ago, an organization like this would not be possible. Our thousands of volunteers and the good they do are a testament to the positive power of technology. My job is to communicate all we do to local media outlets.
What GBC means to me:
Modern American life is busy, fast-paced, and very mobile. Families and friends are sometimes spread across with world, and people often do not know their neighbors. This organization helps deliver what previous generations had: a sense of community - something that goes beyond a physical address and gets people involved with others in the future of their city.
Fun Fact:
I am an instrument rated private pilot. Unfortunately, this hobby is too expensive for me to fly very often... maybe I should try crochet!
