Katrina Collaboration: Update from New Orleans
Between rain showers today, we laid subflooring for three houses and started installing floor joists in a fourth. Whenever we heard “duck and cover!” all the electrical equipment went back in the trailer and we sat under houses (they’re on concrete piers) until the all-clear.

We’re working on a Habitat for Humanity site called The Musician’s Village. Eventually, 75 or 80 houses will be here. Now, homes on a few streets are finished and the owners have moved in. Other houses are in various stages of completion.
