Please join us for an exciting fundraiser for the GBBC Team traveling to build houses for families in Xela, Guatemala in April, 2011!
The event will be held at Lunar Lounge and will feature a happy hour and salsa dancing, including a professionally instructed group lesson! Also expect Christian Moerlien beer tickets, drink specials from the bar, appetizers, exciting door prizes and admission to LUNAR for the night!
You don't HAVE to salsa, but you're going to WANT to salsa!
If you haven't had a chance to visit LUNAR, this is the perfect one. They have rolled the red carpet out for us and we'll have the ENTIRE club at our disposal from 6-10pm! Click here to purchase tickets!!
On Saturday, March 26, Give Back Cincinnati will host a walking tour of Cincinnati's largest urban neighborhood, Westwood. We'll discover hidden neighbhorhood, including stops at the following:
* Westwood Historic Society
* WestCURC
* MadCap Puppet Company
* Henke Winery
* Westwood Works
In addition to learning what makes this west side neighborhood tick, we'll engage in a little community clean up... so you'll want to wear outdoor-appropriate shoes and clothing.
A limited number of spots are available, so sign up today to immerse yourself in the culture and history of Westwood!
CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!!! Join Give Back Cincinnati for PNC's Rally on the Square, in honor of the Cincinnati Reds Opening Day. We need approximately 100 volunteers to manage security check-points, sell beer to thirsty fans, and help facilitate some exciting entertainment on Fountain Square. There will also be plenty of opportunities to win prizes, watch the parade, sing along with the bands and -- of course -- root for the home team while watching the day's festivities on the Fountain Square big screen!
This will serve as our first Give Back Cincinnati fundraiser of 2011 so please consider joining us as a volunteer for one of the following shifts:
Morning Shift (8am-12pm)
Afternoon Shift (12-4pm)
Evening Shift (4-8pm)
Volunteer shifts fill up quickly, so click here to register for your preferred shift. Thank you and GO REDS!!
Give Back Cincinnati is excited to announce the next hands-on event of 2011. On Saturday, April 16th, approximately 200 GBC volunteers will team up with Keep Cincinnati Beautiful as we participate in the Greater Cincinnati Cleanup. This event is part of a national program called the Great American Cleanup, which is expected to attract over 2 million volunteers in 14,000 communities nationwide this year.
We will be cleaning up vacant lots, alleyways and streets throughout Cincinnati, landscaping and mulching around Over-The-Rhine, and giving some boarded up buildings a facelift while we paint with Future Blooms. It’s a good opportunity to do something GREAT for the community, and we’ll celebrate our work with some new friends at an after party (more details to come).
Registration opens next week, so keep an eye out for the link! We look forward to seeing you there!
