Recapping Give Back Beyond's Trip to Xela

On April 2, 2011, a group of 10 Give Back Beyond Cincinnati members traveled to Xela, Guatemala to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity for one week. Cory Curry, a Cincinnati native who works as a Portfolio Specialist at Robert W. We're partnering with the Leadership Scholars, a select group of inner city youth who excel inside and outside of the classroom. The event will be co-hosted by Give Back Cincinnati and Keep Cincinnati Beautiful.

Do you want to know exactly what our 90 volunteers will be doing? Read more here or sign up today!! Already registered? You'll receive an email this week confirming all the last-minute details... if you do not receive a confirmation, please contact Tricia Giessler at membership@givebackcincinnati.org

Volunteer to Prep the Town!

Help prepare homes in Bellevue and Dayton, KY for Paint the Town! Think scraping, scrubbing and priming... it will be a great deal of work, however it is always a blast to see the transformation of the homes.

Unlike past prep days, this year's Prep the Town event will see ALL 39 homes prepared for the big day. Breakfast, lunch and a prep day t-shirt will be provided... and of course, there's the after party at The Reef in Dayton.

A Note from the President

Greetings, Give Back Cincinnati members! Are you passionate about GBC? Are you ready to take that passion to the next level? We are currently seeking to add a new member on our leadership team.

This position would help us maintain and develop new relationships with key partners in the Cincinnati area. The position on average will be a 20 hour per month commitment. A person in this role thrives in an environment with minimal structure, is self-motivated, and is willing to learn the needs of the organization.

Informal interview sessions will take place through Monday, May 16. Interested applicants can email me at: president@givebackcincinnati.org. Don't hesitate to reach out to me if you, or someone you know, would be interested in serving Give Back Cincinnati in an expanded role.

Cheers!

Ryan Cowan, President of Give Back Cincinnati
