On Saturday, June 11th approximately 1,000 volunteers showed up to paint 40 houses in Bellevue & Dayton, KY. While Mother Nature scared us at first with pouring rain, she cleared it up around 8:30 a.m. – just like the weather forecasters actually predicted!
Even though the day started out soggy, the weather did not seem to dampen any of our volunteers’ spirits; all of them continuing to smile, make friends and work hard.
The majority of the houses were completed on Saturday, with just a few finishing touches done on Sunday, June 12th.
We would like to thank all of the volunteers and sponsors that made this great event possible. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

Gianna De Caro Gears Up to Give Back, Beyond Cincinnati
As a P&G employee, Gianna De Caro is a transplant to the Greater Cincinnati region. She will be traveling with the Give Back Beyond team to NOLA for her first ever Give Back Beyond service travel trip. Want to know why she decided to travel with the group? Read on.
How long have you been a GBC member and what made you decide to join Give Back Beyond?
I joined Give Back Cincinnati about a year and a half ago. Since then, I was looking to increase my level of involvement with Give Back Cincinnati and was looking for a different way to spend my vacation time. I heard about the NOLA trip from a few friends who attended in the past, and it seemed like an exciting way to do a hands-on volunteer project, explore a new city, and meet fun, passionate young professionals with similar interests.
What made you choose NOLA for your Give Back Beyond trip?
I was really moved by the volunteer experiences my friends had on past trips to NOLA, and I wanted to make an impact in a location close to home.
What are you most looking forward to for your trip?
The 12 hour bus ride! Just kidding…I am really excited to meet the other volunteers and families who will be impacted by our work. I also love live music and seeing different cities so I’m excited to explore the jazz scene and funky New Orleans culture.
