Background:
I didn't grow up in Cincinnati, but after living here for 15 years, this town has adopted me. I went to Xavier University for undergrad and grad school at Ohio State and currently call Walnut Hills home. My favorite thing to do is to travel and see the world, but I always love to come back to my adoptive home!
What GBC means to me:
GBC is really about good people doing good things and having a good time while they're at it! I'm always impressed at the enthusiasm and generous spirits of our members and how much we're able to accomplish. As much time as I spend working for GBC, I know that I get much more in return, from meeting great people who inspire me and making fantastic friends to making our community a better place to live.
What I do for GBC:
I'm excited this year to be serving as Vice President of Programs. My role is to support and be a liaison between the Board of Directors and our 6 fantastic programs: Fall Feast, Freedom Project, Give Back Beyond Cincinnati, Ignite, Lily Pad and Paint the Town.
Fun Fact:
In an odd coincidence and not because I was keen on astronomy, when I was 9 years old, I got to tell the NASA museum in Cleveland that they had the distance between the earth and the sun wrong...cuz they did!
