Background:

I was born and raised in Youngstown , OH . I moved to Cincinnati to attend college at the University of Cincinnati and earned my degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduation, I moved to Baltimore , MD to work as an engineer for Sherwin-Williams. Having enjoyed my time in Cincinnati as a college student, I decided to move back to the area a couple of years later and accepted an engineering position for a local chemical company. Since then, I have also received my MBA from the University of Cincinnati . I now am working as a regional sales manager and live on the east side of town.

What GBC means to me:

I have always had an internal desire to work within the local community to help those in need. Several years ago, I began to look for an organization to join to satisfy that desire. My search led me to GBC. For the past year or so, I have attended many of the GBC events and served on the Interactive Events Committee. I really the enjoy the opportunity that GBC gives me to work with others in the community, to have fun while doing it and to meet a lot of great people.

What I do for GBC:

My role with GBC in 2010 will be to serve as the Interactive Events Coordinator. In this role, I will be responsible for leading a committee tasked with planning all of the Interactive Events during the calendar year. Our events will focus on interacting with many under-served groups in the community such as children and the elderly. The Interactive events for 2010 are Young at Heart, Kids’ Olympics and Give Back with the Future.

Fun Fact:

I really enjoy traveling both in the US and internationally. I have been to 40 out of 50 states in the US and to 5 foreign countries. I have a lifetime goal of visiting all 50 states, as many foreign countries as possible and all 7 continents.
