Description:Please join us for our first Annual Community Immersion. It's an outshoot from our quarterly Community Conversation Program. Our first annual event is in one of Cincinnati's most historic, troubled and promising communities - Over-the-Rhine. The community boasts an impressive collection of historic architecture, artistic venues and community diversity. Join us as we explore the past, present and future of this unique community.

  • 10:00 AM - Registration - T-Shirt, Agenda and Welcoming Remarks
  • 10:30 AM - Dr. Nikki Taylor - Author of Frontiers of Freedom: Cincinnati's Black Community
  • 11:30 AM - Walk to Findlay Market
  • 12:00 PM- Architreks Tour of OTR - sites include: Findlay Market House . Jackson Brewery . Phillipus Evangelical and Reformed Church . Site of Bellevue Incline . Christian Moerlein Brewery . Kaufmann Building . Hudepohl Bottling Plant . St. Francis Seraph Church
  • 1:30 PM - Walk to lunch - Courtyard Cafe
  • 2:00 PM - Lunch and OTR Development Discussion including representatives of the Gateway Quarter
  • 3:30 PM - Walk to Cincinnati Ballet
  • 4:00 PM - State of the Arts - Past/Present/Future in OTR
  • 5:30 PM - Dinner and discussion of the Streetcar Plans for Cincinnati with representation from the City on state of current plans
  • 7:00 PM - ?? - Open Discussion and Drinks!
