About the Event
For our first Civic Pillar event of the year, join us for a 2-hour guided walk in collaboration with the Harriet Beecher Stowe House along the Ohio River, one of the most powerful sites in the American story of freedom and resistance.
We'll trace the lives of Margaret Garner, James Bradley, Marian Spencer, the Cincinnati Black Brigade, and others whose courage along these banks helped define what America could become. We'll explore how the Ohio River wasn't just a border between states, but a threshold between bondage and freedom.
Come ready to walk, reflect, and connect with the history Cincinnati helped write. Afterwards, join us at a brewery in Covington to connect and talk more about what you learned!
Spots are limited!! Please register in advance via this luma link.
