Join Our Leadership Team! 

We are currently accepting applications to join our 2026 leadership team! Please click here for more information and to apply. Applications are due on Friday, November 21st at 11:59pm EST.

We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is 100% volunteer-run. All leadership roles are unpaid and held by active Give Back Cincinnati members who are passionate about making a big impact on a local scale. Requirements for all Leadership roles:

  • Live in the Greater Cincinnati area

  • Have attended at least two Give Back Cincinnati events

  • Commit to a one-year volunteer leadership term

Not ready for a leadership role? Get involved as a Committee Member! 

⚙️ Director, Vice President Operations

  • Member of the Give Back Cincinnati Board of Directors. The Board oversees the organization’s strategic direction and long-term financial health.

  • Oversee all GBC Operations, including Hands-On, Interactive, Civic Engagement, and Leadership leads, committees and events.

  • Support leads with event planning, logistics, budgets, and leadership development.

  • Partner with the Development and Communications Directors to create and publish the annual report.

🩶  Director, Development

  • Member of the Give Back Cincinnati Board of Directors. The Board oversees the organization’s strategic direction and long-term financial health.

  • Lead all fundraising initiatives, including grant applications, donor cultivation and stewardship, and sponsorship development.

  • Collaborate with the President to plan, coordinate, and execute our primary fundraising event, Reds Opening Day event on Fountain Square.

  • Work with the VP of Finance to forecast and track revenue and develop long-term sustainability strategies.

  • Partner with the VP Operations and Communications Director to create and publish the annual report.

📱  Director, Communications

  • Member of the Give Back Cincinnati Board of Directors. The Board oversees the organization’s strategic direction and long-term financial health.

  • Manage all external communications, including social media, email newsletters, GBC website, etc.

  • Develop and execute a marketing and communications plan to grow awareness of GBC’s mission and events.

  • Partner with the VP Operations and Development Director to create and publish the annual report.

  • Ensure brand consistency and alignment with GBC’s mission, voice, and visual standards.

🏘️ Lead, Civic Engagement

  • Plan, organize, and execute quarterly Civic Engagement events, focused on helping young people be civically engaged members of the Cincinnati community.

  • Develop and oversee a committee to assist with the planning of the events, if desired.

  • Lead and facilitate day-of event activities, including supplies, attendees, activities, timing, and after-event social.

  • Complete relevant organization reports in a timely manner before and after the event,

  • Attend relevant Leadership Team and/or Board meetings to update the organization on event planning progress and to solicit any help that may be needed.

🌍 Lead, Interactive

  • Plan, organize, and execute quarterly Interactive events, focused on interacting with a diverse group of communities within the Cincinnati area.

  • Develop and oversee a committee to assist with the planning of the events, if desired.

  • Lead and facilitate day-of event activities, including supplies, attendees, activities, timing, and after-event social.

  • Complete relevant organization reports in a timely manner before and after the event.

  • Attend relevant Leadership Team and/or Board meetings to update the organization on event planning progress and to solicit any help that may be needed.
     

Join A Committee! 

If you aren't ready for a leadership role or you don't feel like you can make the time, but you still want to support Give Back Cincinnati efforts, joining a Committee might be the right fit for you!  

Requirements for all Committee roles:

  • Live in the Greater Cincinnati area

  • Have attended at least one Give Back Cincinnati event

  • Commit to a one-year volunteer leadership term (can be flexible based on your situation) 

  • Available to attend monthly, virtual committee meetings 

  • Help run your committees planned events on the day-of (at least 50% of the events your committee plans, most have 2 - 4 events per year)
